Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving I went on a really long trip with Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Alex. We went all the way to Michigan to Grandpa's house. Before I had never been in a car longer than about 45 minutes, but this time was a really long time. (Daddy notes: it took us about 6 hours) We stopped several times because I got hungry. Finally we got to Grandpa's House, and there were a lot of people there! Grandpa and Grandma Jane, Great Grandma Emily, Grandma Jane's brother, and Grandma Jane's daughter were all there, but they all seemed happy to see me. Right after we got there, Mommy left, and in a little while she came back with another person, my Uncle Billy! It was the first time I got to see him and he was really nice and brought me presents and everything. After a little bit, all the people sat at a big table and ate a big meal. I started getting tired and I have to admit I got a little fussy, but Daddy, Mommy, and Great Grandma all took turns making me feel better.

The next day we went to visit Daddy's Aunt Ann and Uncle Don. They were really nice! They made breakfast for Daddy and Mommy, and they played with me while they ate. Here's a picture of me with Aunt Ann:
And here's a picture of me with Uncle Don:
Aunt Ann also took a picture of me with Mom and Dad:
Later that day, Mommy and Daddy took me to a restaurant, and I got to meet a bunch more people: Aunt Jess, Aunt Beff, Uncle Joe and Aunt Richelle, and Uncle Chad. Daddy called them all aunts and uncles, but I think they were really mostly Daddy's friends. I don't know why Daddy and Mommy didn't take any pictures, but we had a lot of fun. Joe and Richelle really seemed to like me a lot. They are gonna have a baby in the spring, and I can't wait to meet him or her!

I heard Mommy and Daddy talking about going home that night, but when we got back to Grandpa's house they realized that Grandpa hadn't got to play with me a lot, so they said we could stay over night. Grandpa played with me a lot! He's really funny and he makes me smile. I don't usually like the baby in the mirror, but when Grandpa showed him to me, for some reason it made me smile. Grandpa even called me Blasto! Usually only Mommy and Daddy call me Blasto. Almost everyone else calls me Enzo, but I'm starting to get used to it. Anyway, I like Grandpa a lot, and I can't wait to see him again. Here we are together:
We finally went home on Saturday, and we were all tired. I was tired every night I was in Michigan, and the first night we got back home. (Daddy's note: Blasto slept for 6 hours in a row on Thanksgiving night, 5 1/2 hours in a row the next night, and almost 6 hours in a row the first night home. Before that the longest he had slept in a row was 4 hours)

Thanksgiving was fun, and I really like meeting new people. Everyone is really nice to me and is really happy to see me. It makes me smile.

Cutie!

Mommy took some pictures of me and Dad said he thought they were so cute that I should put them on my blog, so here they are!

Next week is Thanksgiving, and mom and dad say we're going on a trip!

Halloween

For my first Halloween, mom made me a costume! She made me a bumblebee outfit out of an old onesie she got for free at the recycling center. She sewed black stripes onto it and made me a hat out of an old t-shirt sleeve to which she attached my antennae. Here's a picture of me in it: Even though you can't see it in the picture, she even sewed a stinger onto the butt area!

Dad had to work on Halloween, so mom and I stayed home to hand out treats. Dad got several bags of candy, but we only got 4 trick-or-treaters, so mom let the kids each grab several big handfuls of candy. They really seemed to like it!

My aunt Marcia sent me a cute pumpkin pajama suit that I put on for bedtime on Halloween, and when dad came home and saw me sleeping in it he thought I was super cute, so he took this picture:

A couple days after Halloween, mom dressed me up in another pumpkin outfit that she found, and dad took a picture of the two of us out in the front yard:

Mom thought it would be funny to put me next to the pumpkins on the front porch. Can you find Blasto?:
Overall, Halloween was really fun. I can't wait till next year!

Hi!

I'm Blasto. At least most of the time I am. Sometimes mom and dad call me Enzo. Or Lorenzo. Or Lorenzo Gene. Or Puddin' Pants. Or PeePee Face. Mom and dad are weird. I'm gonna stick with Blasto, though, since that's what I've been called ever since I can remember. Since long before I entered the bright world.

Anyway, dad wanted me to start this blog so that people could have a place to go to see pictures of me and find out how I'm doing. I think dad should just e-mail people stuff, but he thinks its better to let people choose when and if they want to find out more about me.

Alright, time to make with some pics:
This was taken this morning. Dad kept popping up from behind my stroller and saying "Peek-a-boo!" That guy cracks me up.

This was taken about 2 weeks ago. It sure feels good in mom's arms. A guy can really relax.

This was also taken about 2 weeks ago. I guess I was thinking about something. Probably boobs.

Mom and dad sure think this picture is funny. They say it captures me perfectly. I say I wouldn't have to make noise if they'd just figure out what I want.

That's it for now, I'm gonna go take a nap.
